What Makes Yin Yoga So Different…
And Why It’s the Self Care Practice You’ve Been Craving
Yin Yoga is unlike most movement practices, not only because of what you're doing, but because of how you're being.
It invites you to slow down, tune in, and soften in ways that reach far beyond the physical body.
This is a quiet, deeply relaxing practice that works into the connective tissues of the body—like your ligaments, joints, bones, and deep fascia networks—through longer-held, floor-based poses (usually 3 to 5 minutes each).
Props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks are often used—not just for support, but to help you settle in more fully and feel more at ease in your body.
Over time, Yin can support mobility, ease tightness, and help your body feel more open and supported—but the physical benefits are just the beginning.
Many women return to Yin again and again for the way it supports their whole being—body, mind, and spirit.
Does this sound like you?
You’re craving:
a slower pace and quiet moments
more presence in your body and breath
space to soften, stretch, and let go
relief from stress, overwhelm, or a constantly busy mind
deeper rest
more ease in your body
a practice that meets you exactly where you are
If you saw yourself in even one of the above, then Pressing Pause or a Private Yin Circle might be just what you need.
